Happy Mid May! This month is flying by- I can’t believe it’s almost Memorial Day then June!
I’m gearing up for a summer of fun in Minnesota and beyond and wanted to show you a few things I’ve been obsessing over recently that I will definitely be wearing, using, and drinking all summer long!
Hole in the Wall bar at Renaissance Depot Minneapolis.
Last night I was invited to tour the newly renovated and expanded Renaissance Hotel in Minneapolis, and let me tell you, it was stunning! However, my favorite part had to be the “Hole in the Wall” lounge that is located through the lobby around the corner from the lobby bar. You’ll find a standalone door and open it to a plush lounge of flamingo wallpaper and intimate seating. Order a drink through a window that’s connected to the bar outside and enjoy cocktails and conversation all night long.
Food & Drink
Ice latte season is here to stay and while most people tend to drink a latte plain, or a add a splash of vanilla, my go-to is a maple latte. Typically this drink is seasonal in the fall, but if you go to a coffee shop, ask for it! Most Caribou Coffee’s have maple on hand all year long now. But if you’re looking for the best maple latte in Minnesota… it’ll cost ya a drive up to Grand Marais to Java Moose. It is worth every penny and every minute spent driving!
Life & Style
Cabin Fever Hat from Lake Effect Co.
With cabin season quickly approaching I am having all the feels to get away to a cabin every weekend this summer. Will it happen? Probably not, but a girl can try. In the meantime, I’ll be constantly wearing my new cap (picture below) from Lake Effect Co. They have the cutest lake gear ever..and local to the Midwest!
Beauty & Wellness
Beauty Tonic Collagen
Recently I’ve hopped on the collagen train and I am loving it. I used to take powered collagen but never found a brand I liked until now. The Beauty Collagen from Tonic Products is amazing! I love the to-go packs they have so I just toss in my bag and go! I posted about it last week on my Instagram & it’s definitely helping my nails plus my skin is glowing only after a couple of weeks.
Culture & Travel
Taco Bell Hotel
Yes, you read that right. Taco Bell is opening up it’s own hotel in Palm Springs this summer. For 5 days only you can snag a room and indulge in all your Taco Bell fantasies. They have a spa, pool (that I’m sure will have all the boozy baja blast freezes you can drink), and even room service. Because who doesn’t dream of getting Taco Bell delivered right to their room? Reservations open in June and you can best believe I signed up to get the first notice when they open.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s edition. Let me know what YOU’RE obsessing over lately!
