If you find yourself in Mankato to explore, make sure to elevate your trip with a stay at Arch + Cable, Mankato’s newest boutique hotel. If you’re on the lookout for accommodations that go beyond the ordinary, you’re in for a treat here. I’ve always loved a good boutique hotel because I truly believe they are the secret sauce to transforming your stay into a personalized adventure, and Arch + Cable is no different. Offering a unique blend of modern + cozy charm, plus a prime location, you’ll soon realize why this place is a stellar choice of a stay!
What Sets Them Apart
Imagine stepping into a cozy lobby filled with art, trendy furniture, and a vibe that’s as unique as the destination itself. Arch + Cable sets the stage for a great experience the moment you check in! Located in the Bridge Plaza, it’s conveniently located just steps to coffee, shopping, great eats, and more. I loved the option for a contactless check-in too. Having the option to breeze right in and head up to my room is very attractive to me sometimes, especially if it’s been a longer journey to get there. However, I enjoyed having the presence of onsite staff too when questions arose or if I needed something on my way out!
With six different room options available, Arch + Cable provides spaces to cater to whatever brings you to Greater Mankato! We stayed in the king suite and loved the extra space. My favorite part was the floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing a ton of natural light in! The aesthetic was modern + minimal, from black and white decor to touches of fun prints or wallpaper it was a great balance to have an elevated feel and experience without losing any comfort! Along with the modern design, my experience was made better by all the tech-friendly aspects too. From contactless check-in, key codes, and text service for the concierge, I really didn’t need to worry about losing key cards or calling down to the front desk for anything!
During your stay, you can hang out in the lobby (great if you visit with a group of friends!) and also shop their curated mini boutique! If you’re looking to unwind, we loved curling up with our favorite movie to stream on their smart TVs! One thing Arch + Cable also offers is in-room massages and experiences by Menari Body Works, so go ahead and pamper yourself! In the mornings, put on your slippers and head down the hall to the breakfast + coffee station, where they offer fresh donuts + bagels for you to grab and go, as well as coffee, tea and more with their Nespresso Machine (open for use 24/7!) I think I loved this the most as I had to walk just steps outside our door – not down to the lobby 🙂
Local Love: Exploring the Community
One thing I’m always doing during a weekend trip is exploring the local scene! Staying at Arch + Cable made is so easy. I visited during the holiday season, so there were lots of fun holiday happenings throughout Old Town Mankato, which is right outside the front door. Walk along Riverfront Drive to pop into all the local boutiques like Bonita, Pond Road Market, or Hazelkin & Co, and don’t forget a coffee at The Coffee Hag! It’s my FAVORITE coffee shop in Mankato!
Now, if you were to head in the opposite direction, you’ll quickly run into Downtown Mankato where you’ll find a lot of great bars and restaurants you can indulge in during your stay! My favorite? Try brunch at Nolabelle Kitchen, coffee at River Rock Coffee & Tea, and Dinner at Number 4 Steakhouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Number 4 Steakhouse – make sure to get the cheese curds and the lobster bisque! One of the best cheese curds I’ve ever had in the state and the lobster bisque is just dreamy – perfect for a cold winter day. If you’re shooting for a cozy night in at Arch + Cable, I highly recommend grabbing a pizza to go from Pagliai’s! It’s the oldest pizzeria in Mankato and one of the oldest restaurants in the city!
