Berry season in Minnesota is short and sweet but what is better than some fresh-picked berries straight from the farm?! We are so lucky to have several places not only in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro but all over the state where you can go picking! The picking season in Minnesota is about Mid June through July but it’s always dependent on the weather as you can imagine! Read on for tips and a list to get you started!

Some things to consider before visiting a strawberry farm in Minnesota

  • Check the establishment’s Facebook, website, or Instagram for updates DAILY. Several places can be picked out day to day or they close due to the weather! Facebook will be your best option for the most recent update!
  • Make sure to bring cash! Some places are cash-only.
  • Be patient and understanding. With inclement weather, sometimes it doesn’t make for the best crop.
  • Read carefully and make sure they have U-PICK available for the day you are visiting. Someitmes they have pre-picked options only!
