Where to Shop Local in the Twin Cities for the Holidays

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

The one thing I’m starting to see around the Twin Cities is the camaraderie that local makers have for each other. As a lover of local goods, I’ve been elated to see several collaborative spaces have popped up in the last couple of years, showcasing local makers across Minnesota. There’s really something about supporting local, but also being able to see, touch, or smell the products in person.

I’m no stranger to boppin’ around town shopping so I figured I’d gather some of my favorite places to shop for all things local.

Below you can find some starting points to shop Minnesota artisans this holiday season. These are all brick and mortar stores that are open for the holidays or year-round! Some are even offering curbside pickup too so much sure to see all your shopping options this season. If you’re looking for weekend holiday pop-ups make sure to check out my Instagram stories for up-to-date news!

Grand Collective

Located on the beautiful Grand Ave in St. Paul, Grand Collective is a holiday pop that features 14 brands all under one roof including but not limited to: Urban Undercover, Mona Williams, Hagen and Oats, Shop in the City, Larissa Loden, and Waam Industries. The store in itself is indeed grand and curated beautifully. If you pop by on the weekend you might be surprised to find more local makers popping up exclusively for that weekend only!

Six for Good

A collective boutique in the Rosedale Mall and NOW at Nolan Mains in Edina, Six for Good brings six friends from six brands doing good. Focused on making the community a better place, Six for Good consists of Essence One, Baubles and Bobbies, Hagen and Oats, Urban Undercover, TowelTopper, and Thumbs Cookies.

While you’re already visiting Rosedale, head up to the second floor and visit Rose and Loon. Their selections are always changing and evolving to support the local market and I love it. Goods in here are from not only in Minnesota, but from all over the Midwest, boasting over 40 makers that round out their collective. You won’t leave empty-handed, I can bet on it!
