Weekly Obsessions: May 3rd, 2019

Tomorrow is looking absolutely beautiful and I am hoping the sunshine will stay for a bit.

This week’s roundup includes a great food delivery service that’s now available in my area and a new plus line at Kohl’s!

Local: Six for Good. Retail is definitely breaking out of the status quo lately with pop up shops, concept stores, and shared retail spaces. Six for Good just opened up their doors a few weeks ago at Rosedale Center. Six artisans came together to showcase their products in a more permanent home all while giving back to the community in a fun shopping experience. Shop the likes of Urban Undercover, Towel Topper, Baubles and Bobbies, Essence One, Hagen & Oats, and Thumbs Cookies. The photo above was taken at their grand opening event!

Food & Drink: Imperfect Produce – While this company is not new, it just launched in the Minneapolis area at the beginning of April so I wanted to test it out! The mission behind Imperfect Product is to reduce food waste by sourcing ugly produce from local farmers that isn’t grocery store standard. The results? Fresh, ugly produce delivered right to my door for 30% below grocery retail. I chose the small fruit and veggie box which starts around $10. You can edit to mix and match your box or you can be surprised! Use this link for $10 off your first box!

Style: Kohl’s New Plus Line – I’m not going to lie, Kohl’s isn’t my first choice when I think of trendy plus size options. In recent years, their plus collections have been growing slowly but nothing that has kept me coming back, until now. Meet, EVRI. Standing for Easy, Versatile, Real, and Inspiring, this line goes up to 4X and actually runs true to size and sometimes even runs large! I snagged a few staples for my spring wardrobe including this fun yellow dress!

Beauty & Wellness: Beauty Counter‘s Nourishing Rosewater Mist –  I’m sure you’ve seen Beauty Counter in the news as of lately. They are really making a splash and disrupting the beauty industry with their clean beauty initiative. I’ve tried a few products so far and while I’m still navigating my top picks for BC, Christie Trinh introduced me to the Rosewater Mist, and this by far is my can’t-live-without item. Spritz it on your face when you need a refreshing pick-me-up and want to smell like freshly bloomed roses.

Culture & Travel: Shawn Mendes dropped a new single overnight. I may or may not have listened to it 10x times already. 🙂  I will definitely be adding it for my travel playlist this week. Anyone else make playlists for specific trips?

I hope you enjoyed this week’s obsessions! What have you been obsessing over lately?
